Jump Family Dodging Hurricane Rita This Weekend
Hurricane Katrina is still fresh on the minds of Houstonians, as thousands of evacuees sought shelter in the Bayou City. But now attention has been turned to Hurricane Rita which has its eye set on the greater Houston area.
But the Jump family will be heading north to the Sooner State, as Jason will be leading a singles conference for Fellowship Bible Church North at Lake Murray in Ardmore, Oklahoma on Sept. 23-25.
Traffic will be horrendous, but we are thankful to our Wonderful God that this schedule has allowed us a purpose to get out of the way!
It will be a busy time as we return to the Bayou City area as Micah is still scheduled for his MRI on Sept. 30 and our daughter is scheduled to be born on Oct. 5.
As always we are grateful for your support and prayers! God's blessings to you and your families!!
Lots of Changes Happening in the Jump Household
Well there has been good news and not so good news (which as believers really doesn't exist since what satan means for evil God can use for good...Amen!) since our last update.
The not so good news is that our son Micah has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and we are not sure what exactly it is. Micah is all but officially diagnosed with Neurofibromatois, which is a genetic disorder that attacks the nervous system.
During his last MRI they discovered a small tumor on his brain, which may or may not be related to NF. We go back for another MRI at the end of September. Please remember to keep Micah in your prayers. Please pray that God's will will continue to be carried out in his life.
Jason has spent three of the last four weeks supplying for First Baptist Church in Batson, TX, which is about 40 miles away from Humble. He visited with their pastor search committee during his last stop and both parties will continue to pray as to what the Lord is leading them to do.
Only a few more weeks until our new addition arrives. Our first little girl and the first grand daughter for either set of grandparents. Should be ex-citing.
Daddy's Little Girl and Mommy's Little Princess
Jason, Stephanie and Micah Jump found out on May 17 that a baby girl will be added to the Jump family in October God willing. A name for our little girl is still a work in progress. It will be the first granddaughter for both sets of grandparents, so the spoiling is already beginning and she's not even here yet. Micah, now a little over two, has already said "baby sister."
I Don't Think We're In Kansas Anymore . . .
The pastor search committee for Grace Southern Baptist Church in Iola, Kan. will be traveling to the Sooner State to hear Jason Jump preach on Sunday, May 22. Jump will be preaching the morning and evevning serivces as he fills in for long time friend and pastor Brad Jinks at Calvary Baptist Church in West Siloam Springs, Okla.
Door Closed in Oklahoma
God answered the prayers for both the Jump family and the congregation at First Baptist Church, of Colcord, Okla. He is still working within the Jump family as they patiently await where they will be used in His service, while the people at FBC Colcord will now continue their search to find God's man to pastor His flock there.
Jump to Preach in View of a Call
First Baptist Church of Colcord, Okla. has asked Jason Jump to come and preach in view of a call to fill the pastoral opening that the northeastern Oklahoma church has vacant. Jump will be preaching the morning and evening services on Sunday, April 24.
Jump to lead Singles Retreat
Jason Jump will be one of two presenters at the first ever Singles Retreat held by Fellowship Bible Church North (Plano, TX). The retreat will be held September 23-25 at the Lake Murray Lodge in Ardmore, OK. It will be a homecoming for Jump, who grew up in the southern Oklahoma city.
Jump will lead a workshop on Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts on Satur-day, Sept. 24. He will then bring the message at the morning worship ser-vice on Sunday, Sept. 25. The message is titled Is the Grass Really Greener? It will focus on how to be a content Christian in the 21st century.
